Mechanical Maintenance Technician
(M/F/D)*The Mechanical Maintenance Technician works with a team of technicians onsite to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment within the facility. This is a full-time, in-person position starting at $27 per hour, more based upon experience. Current shifts available are Weekday PM, Weekend PM, and Weekend AM. This position is located at the URBN KC1 Fulfillment Center, just west of the Kansas City Speedway. (11681 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66111)
What you’ll be handling
- Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, such as conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
- Work individually or with other team members to complete work assignments as assigned.
- Adhere to quality standards, while complying with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related a bonus.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repair of equipment in industrial, warehouse/distribution, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with SCADA and/or HMI.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
