Field Service Engineer

Trouble shooter is your middle name? Then we are looking for you! We are expanding our Field Service Team with a Field Service Engineer. This is a great opportunity if you currently work in a fixed location and are looking for the next step in your career. As a Field Service Engineer you will travel to different TGW customers in the Benelux, ranging from small warehouses with internal transport systems to large, complex fulfilment centres for customers in the FMCG sector, automotive and retail for instance. A day in the life; Starting your day with coffee from home, you head with full energy to your scheduled customer. Today, your job could be doing maintenance so when you arrive you discuss and review the plan for this day/week. You perform maintenance, assess potential upgrades, check spare parts inventory, and evaluate the overall system condition. At the end of the day, you’ll go over completed tasks and any findings with the customer. Once the detailed report is finished, you’ll wrap up the day, and head home.

WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING

  • You will participate in the detection of electrical, mechanical and software failures in automated equipment (such as conveyors, cranes, shuttles, elevators, robots etc.)
  • You will perform preventive maintenance and work with project teams to provide upgrades and improvements
  • You will be the only TGW specialist on site in some cases, and as such, the main contact for our client's teams
  • You will travel to different TGW customers in the Benelux in. We strive to ensure that most of the projects are tailored to your skills and experience, so you can make an impact while developing your expertise
  • You are open to flexible working hours and adaptable when it comes to traveling.
  • You are eager to learn and expand your knowledge of different sectors by working with globally renowned brands and gaining experience with the very latest equipment and technology

What you'll need

  • You have experience in an automated environment as a field service engineer or maintenance technician
  • You have a technical diploma at least MBO-3 level electrical (or an equivalent to this education) and (preferrable) a NEN3140 VP certificate
  • You have experience with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, OMRON, etc.)
  • You have experience with WMS and software like CMMS, HMI, SCADA, etc
  • You possess excellent communication skills (Dutch and English language) and you always work in a customer-oriented manner
  • You're living in the Netherlands region between Roosendaal, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Eindhoven
