The owner of TGW is the TGW Future Private Foundation, which was brought to life by TGW founder Ludwig Szinicz in 2004. Along with "Focusing on People – Learning and Growing," the foundation serves as the framework for action for both TGW and the charitable sector. "TGW exists for people, namely for its employees and its customers. However, it does not exist for a financier or an owner who is interested solely in profits."

Since its establishment in 1969, TGW has evolved from a small fitter's shop into a leading international system integrator. For the customers in our core industries of Fashion&Apparel, Grocery and Industrial & Consumer Goods, we plan and implement highly automated, efficient and future-proof fulfillment centers around the world – and solve our customers' supply chain challenges along the way. To do so, we build on strong partnerships at every stage, from planning to implementation to Lifetime Services.

The foundation-owned company currently has more than 4,400 employees on three continents and generated a revenue of 955 million euros in the 2022/23 fiscal year.

Sustainability as the basis of corporate responsibility

Economic, social and ecological sustainability are essential for the future a company's future viability. A vital part of TGW's business responsibility is to act to act in a sustainable, conservationist and environmentally friendly manner. The rating agency EcoVadis honoured the material flow specialist with a silver sustainability rating in 2024 for its outstanding commitment.

The latest rating is the third award in a row. The commitment to act sustainably becomes more and more important in the TGW world, no matter if it is in relation to the ecological footprint of products and systems, the selection of suppliers or the social business of TGW Future Wings which initiates, promotes and supports charity projects.
