  • Comprehensive experience paired with an excellent network in the Austrian industrial and banking sector
  • Sebastian Wolf will take on his new role as Chief Financial Officer of TGW Logistics on May 5th, 2025
  • Not only his technical qualifications but also his value orientation and enthusiasm for the "Idea TGW" made him stand out

(Marchtrenk, April 14, 2025) The board of the TGW Future Private Foundation, owner of TGW Logistics, and Henry Puhl, CEO of TGW Logistics, are delighted to introduce Sebastian Wolf as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of TGW Logistics. He will step into his new role on May 5th, 2025, taking over from Clemens Bauernfeind, who has been fulfilling the function since May 2024 in an interim capacity and will continue to lend his support until the end of June to ensure a smooth transition.

The 42-year-old Upper Austrian Sebastian Wolf studied economics and business at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz and has been working for the publicly traded Upper Austrian fire brigade supplier Rosenbauer since 2008. There, he held various leading roles before being appointed CFO in 2017 and chairman of the board (CEO) in 2022.

Comprehensive experience paired with an excellent network

During that time, he was responsible for such developments as the reorientation of their financing, the introduction of a corporation-wide SAP system as well as a significant increase in their liquidity. As CEO, he also oversaw a successful turnaround: the operating result grew from -1% (2022) to +5% (2024), all while achieving a record order intake despite price adjustments.

Sebastian Wolf brings comprehensive experience in the areas of finance, controlling, treasury, IT security, SAP, transformation, M&A and strategy as well as performance management to the table. His broad expertise, paired with digital know-how and an excellent network in the Austrian industrial and banking sector, make him an important incentivizer for TGW Logistics.

The selection of Sebastian Wolf was made by the foundation board in close collaboration with the management board of TGW Logistics. In addition to his technical qualifications, Sebastian Wolf also stands out for his value orientation and his enthusiasm for the "Idea TGW," which focuses on sustainable growth, corporate responsibility and coupling economic success with added social value.

The interim CFO, Clemens Bauernfeind, who has been carrying out the function since May 2024, will continue to support TGW Logistics in this capacity until the end of June 2025 to ensure an orderly transition. The Foundation management and the management board are grateful to him for his dedicated efforts during a crucial phase of the company's development.
