Site Engineering Manager - Fource Site

To join our team at the LKQ Fource central distribution centre in Berkel en Rodenrijs, we are looking for a Service and Maintenance Manager.

LKQ Fource is the supplier of automotive materials, tools, oil, tyres and workshop supplies and uses TGW's automated solutions.

Of over 50,000 square metres, 49,000 square metres is reserved for warehouse space. For the order picking process, we use a fully automated goods-to-man order picking shuttle system.

What you'll be handling:

As Site Engineering Manager, you will be ultimately responsible for managing the site where TGW operates for this client.

  • You will ensure that our daily breakdown and maintenance operations are run smoothly, supporting TGW's Maintenance team where necessary and acting as the main point of contact to the client for any emergencies
  • You are able to build and maintain a professional relationship with the client; You ensure that contractual obligations with the client are met within the agreed deadlines.
  • You take responsibility for the contracted KPIs (such as plant availability and efficiency levels), meeting the agreements with the client
  • You actively collaborate with your on-site Maintenance team to optimise the performance of our automated logistics systems
  • You are also a team builder and continue to build strong and long-term relationships with the various internal teams
  • You are able to identify potential cost-saving opportunities within the existing site using various Lean techniques
  • You will ensure that teams are further trained and kept up to date with the latest health and safety legislation and safe working procedures

What you'll need:

  • You have a relevant technical education (MBO-4 or HBO)
  • You have experience managing a technical team within an on-site environment and you are known as a true People Manager
  • You preferably have experience of working within an automated distribution centre and, in addition to your mechanical and electrical knowledge, you have experience of using and/or implementing relevant software tools, such as SCADA, CMMS and Warehouse Control Systems
  • You are aware of the relevant quality, health and safety standards
  • You have excellent communication skills (Dutch and English, verbally and in writing) and you are a good relationship builder and relationship manager
  • You have experience in working with KPIs, cost control, budget management and able to deal with critical deadlines
