Head of Commercial Strategy (M/F/D)*

As The Head of Commercial Strategy you will lead the Global Commercial Strategy function within Market Intelligence & Insights. You will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives, leveraging market insights, and driving TGW’s competitive advantage and client engagement. 

As the Head of Commercial Strategy you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on commercial strategies that foster growth and deliver sustainable business outcomes.

What you'll be handling:

  • Conduct thorough market assessments to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with internal team members to develop and implement a framework for generating business intelligence that supports marketing, sales, and business development efforts
  • Develop targeted strategies that facilitate successful market entry and growth initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, to understand their needs and ensure insights are aligned with their priorities
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in insights generation and data analysis practices

What you'll need:

  • Proven track record in finance or market analysis, business development, or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to generate actionable insights and support strategic initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) 
  • Knowledge of supply chain dynamics and automated logistics solutions is preferred
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for managing client interactions and sales data
  • Experience in leveraging data analytics for lead quality assessment and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex insights clearly to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams and foster a positive work environment
  • Able to travel regularly
